Assembly

That I wont go to much into. The manual have a very good and detailed guide on how to build it.

I did assembly it in about 35-40 min.

Just follow the manual in all steps also when you are done, then follow steps BEFORE printing your first print.

Quality and design of the FLSUN SR

I think the design of the Super Racer is very good, there only a little thing that I’m not a fan of and that is the sd card is not in the front. But the is a small thing that can be solved easy.

The printer have linear rails wich is a good thing at theese speeds and give acuracy to your print. Flsun have also used 10 mm belt instead of the 6mm belt there frequent are use on 3d printers.

There is also a belt tensioning knop there easy allow you to adjust your belts, just be very careful and adjust all 3 the same tension.

The Extruder is a BMG clone dual gear Bowden extruder but is works very well. Not much else to say about the extruder or its functions.

The mainboard is a clone skr 1.3 with 2209 stepper drivers. But like the most board they have used hotclue on it so if you want to change anything you have to remove it first but careful so you dont break anything.

The Super Racer comes with volcano hotend that  ensure filament is melted quickly so filament should keep up with the print speed.

However I dont get with they did thoose a shorter than normal is for volcano heatblocks but right now it dont cause any problems for me.

The air duct is a dual with 4010 24v fans. They are not noisy and do a fair job cooling, but smaller print I made in highspeed was not the best job.

But for now it will do for me, maybe in the furture I will upgrade to bigger fans to increase the airflow.

Autobed level sensor is removeble and I really like the auto levling like on the Q5 it works really well for me.

It is very easy to use.

The screen on the Super Racer is a small 3½” color touchscreen there fit on the frame with a magnet so you can remove it or easy move it. The screen is connected with a twisted stretchy cable like on your old headphones. The display is nice a fit the design well and it is very responsive on touch.

FLsun SR has a removable textured glass bed that works great. The textured glass bed is used on many printers now and it is easy to get good bed adhesion with it and wait for it to cool down and your prints a easy to remove. It can reach temp on 100 °C so you are well covered.

There is also a small tool box/drawer on the flsun to keep your most need tools nearby.

The rods on the Super Racer is of carbon fiber so they are strong and very light weight. You dont need to screw the rods on the printer they are keept togther with springs 1 at each end. That makes it very easy to to take the effector off. You could also  have a spare effector with a different nozzle on to swap out with. Like on the X-MAX printer.

My final Verdict

Is the FLSUN (SR) SUPER RACER worth buying? That is 100% YES. FLSUN have made a great printer that prints very good out of the box.

The design and build of FLsun SR are great and they really keep what they did promice with this printer, it is a SUPER RACER and the speed is high and the qualty of your print in high speed is also very good. The slicer that comes with the printer is an older version of cura with profiles that are pretty good tuned in. So if you want a Delta printer that prints good and fast then you have to look at this printer.

I cant help to think if they had put on bigger part cooling fans then the speed of the printer would be even faster still with very good and impressive prints. Sure the will come upgrades on this in time. This is the best Delta printer I have worked with and it is the fastest printer out of the box, I really love this printer.
